Ministry of Compassion
Our Saviour’s Foundation, Inc was incorporated with the Securities and Exchange Commission of the Republic Of the Philippines as an NGO (non government organization) in November 22, 1993, six years after Church Of Our Saviour was planted in 1987.
Church of our Saviour, Saviour’s Christian Academy, Saviour’s Medical Centre, Shelter of Grace and House Of Compassion, Joshua21 together forms Our Saviour’s Foundation, Inc. We hope to meet the needs of the community in a wholesome and winsome way. We ministries are named “Compassion Ministry”.
Compassion is a character of God. In the Old Testament, Exodus 34:6 “And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, “The Lord, the Lord, the COMPASSIONATE and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness. Compassion is translated as pity, however feeling pity was just not enough for our Lord.
He was compassionate when He healed the sick, Mark 1:41 “Filled with compassion, Jesus reached out His hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” He said, “Be clean!”
When He taught the lost, he was compassionate, Mark 6:43 “When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had COMPASSION on them, because they are like sheep without shepherd. So He began teaching them many things.”
In dealing with feeding the hungry, He was Compassionate, Mark 8:12 “I have COMPASSION for these people, they have already been with me three days and have nothing to eat.”
Jesus Christ revealed His inner concern for the needs of others by giving Himself. His heart was linked to His hands, feet and tongue. Must we searched further for a model of a compassionate ministry?
Our Saviour’s Foundation, Inc was incorporated to seek to expand Christ’s concern. As He met both our spiritual and physical needs, thus is our mandate for a two fold ministry. We understand that a person well being takes highest priority. We believe a person’s spiritual health is demonstrated by the way one cares for another’s physical well being. A compassion ministry modelled on Christ. A mission possible with your prayers.
